Kylian Mbappé faces China backlash as sponsors cut ties over Mao meme

CNBC, NBC News, BBC, and Yahoo Sports wrote that a clip from French talk show The Bridge circulated in which @KMbappe discussed a meme of his face superimposed on Mao Zedong. All four printed him describing the figure as a Chinese dictator. He did not name Mao. Yahoo Sports and BBC printed him saying he uses the meme with friends.
