US soccer fan shouts "Ni hao" at Son Heung-min, sparking racism backlash

The New York Post and The Asia Business Daily wrote that after LAFC's 2-2 draw with the LA Galaxy at BMO Stadium on Sunday, a spectator in an LAFC jersey repeatedly shouted "ni hao" at @Sonny7 as he walked the pitch greeting fans. Both wrote he looked toward the man. The New York Post called the Mandarin hello aimed at the South Korean winger an "insensitive and racist microaggression."
